World of Warcraft: Shadowlands large pre-expansion event is live on the test servers and it's unleashed an unfathomably large zombie plague on gamers, turning Azeroth's capital cities into wow gold classic undead wastelands. Hundreds of zombies are stalking the streets, devouring any NPC they could find--even including a few that provide quests--turning them into the undead. Players that get within arm's reach may also be infected, providing them special zom-bilities and letting them attack other players to spread the disease. Obviously, Azeroth is in absolute chaos.
To be clear, this isn't occurring in the live version of the game but on its own people test servers. It is here that Blizzard tests upcoming modifications to the game, like the coming level cap squish (max level players will now only be level 50, with all the new level cap being 60 if Shadowlands releases) along with the overhauled new participant experience. Butsometime after this fall, this event will launch on live servers--and if it's anything like what is happening now, it'll be a bloodbath.
I am not exactly sure if the event is functioning as planned. Right now, Stormwind is absolutely overrun with ghouls that are rampaging through the streets and slaughtering everything that goes. The auction house, vendors, and even the bank are unusable--which may be frustrating for players who, when the event is really reside, are just trying to go about their day to cheap classic gold wow day business.
